Didem Baş is an academic researcher, entrepreneur and institution builder whose work has moved across seemingly separate worlds: migration and diaspora research, international healthcare, education, civil society and cross-border business.
For more than two decades, her work has centred on understanding how people, institutions and opportunities move across borders — and on building the structures that allow them to connect.
Her career began in international finance and healthcare entrepreneurship. It later expanded into cultural studies, migration and diaspora research, institution building and education. Today, her work combines academic research with selected entrepreneurial and advisory projects operating internationally.
She is currently a PhD candidate in Political Science at Istanbul Bilgi University.

Her academic interests focus on diaspora politics, displacement and the ways communities build institutions across borders.
